If you are receiving the Passport to College Scholarship while at CPTC, you need to take note of an important change. For the 2010-2011 school year the Scholarship amount has been reduced. The scholarship will now be issued quarterly at the amount of $1000.00. Priority will be given to Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. If you attend in the Summer, the amount will be determined by our Financial Aid Office.
This change will impact you. Previously, students would not have to work while in school because the scholarship was enough to help with living expenses. I know many of you rely on this funding for your rent, but you will need to consider using greater amounts of ETV or looking into further scholarships and employment. With this change your monthly aid will decrease. Be sure to start planning ahead for how this will affect the Fall quarter and beyond.
