Here is some information I just received about a new scholarship that the College Success Foundation is offering. Check out the details:
The College Success Foundation
(CSF) is pleased to announce the Realize
the Dream Scholarship. This scholarship is available to 2012
Washington State high school graduates who do not qualify for federal and state
financial aid programs, but who do qualify for resident student status for
state tuition and fees by completing an affidavit approved by House Bill 1079.
CSF will select students to receive the Realize
the Dream Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year. The maximum
scholarship to be awarded for the 2012-13 academic year will be $5,000.

To apply, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Students receive their high school diploma from a Washington State high school in 2012.
- Students have a 2.0 or higher high school grade point average (GPA).
- Students plan to enroll in college full-time and complete an associate’s and/or bachelor’s degree.
- Students plan to enroll in the fall term 2012 at eligible Washington State two-year or four-year colleges or universities.
- Students must be eligible to file the HB 1079 affidavit with public colleges and universities in order to permit them to quality for tuition rates that Washington State residents pay.
- A student's 2011 family size and family income level meet the program requirements (e.g. for a family of 4, the 2011 family income must be $70,000 or less).
