Financial Aid Resources

I know that money is the issue for many students when it comes to getting into school, so I thought I would try to post some resources out there with their links so you can look into them. I can help you with the paperwork if needed. The more aid you pursue the greater the chance that your school costs will be covered. Let me know if you need anything.

Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) – This is the largest pot of money available to students. It is need based and helps with tuition, books, and fees through grants, loans, and work study. Our school code is 015984

Orphan Foundation of America – Provides scholarships to students under the age of 25 who have spent at least 12 months in care and have not been adopted.

National Foster Parent Association – A resource for foster parents, that also offers Youth Scholarships for going beyond high school. Check under the Resources section.

Education and Training Voucher (ETV) – For students who are younger than 21, and making progress towards their degree. Helps provide students with financial support.

Passport to College Scholarship – Provides a scholarship and support to students who have been in foster care and are at least 16 years or older. They must also have spent at least one year in care, be a resident of Washington, enrolled in half time at an eligible institution by age 21, and not yet achieved a bachelors degree.
